Our Mission
Distance Gallery is an online, volunteer-run exhibition space founded by Joshua Field featuring themed exhibitions by volunteer curators. The goal of the gallery is to maintain and enhance the art community by hosting a safe, remote professional-quality exhibition space for artists and curators to connect with each other and art-lovers. Work may be submitted for an exhibition or may be selected directly by the exhibition curator.
The gallery is a not-for-profit venture and does not engage in commerce-related activities such as sales. No fees or commissions are charged for curator created exhibitions and a minimal fee is charged for entries for open call exhibitions to cover expenses since we do not make commission from sales.
Artwork Sales
If you are interested in acquiring work from one of our exhibition artists, you can find more about their work through the artist websites linked in each exhibition. We hope that you will support our artists, especially in this challenging time, by reaching out to them directly for studio-sales or working with their gallery or dealer.
Get Involved
If you have an idea for a fantastic group show or are interested in participating in an upcoming exhibition, just get in touch. While time constraints do not allow us to exhibit all proposed ideas, we are excited to support the art community when we can.
